Yoav Bar Yosef – Medical Psychology Intern (M.A.)
Yoav obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral sciences from the academic college of Tel Aviv Yafo in 2017. He completed his M.A in medical psychology at the academic college of Tel Aviv Yafo in 2021.
Yoav joined the lab in 2022 and will take part in the PainStory Project. His research will investigate the predictably of fear-avoidance behavior on the basis of the patient’s pain story.
Yoav is working as a pain psychologist at the pain clinic in Assuta hospital, where he works with chronic pain patients suffering from a variety of pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, migraines, chronic headaches etc.
In his clinical work, Yoav combines CBT, ACT, EMDR, Mindfulness and psychodynamic techniques in order to address both mind and body aspects during the therapy meeting.
In addition, Yoav is a board member at the Israeli psychosomatic society and work as a project manager at Talkateen – an online therapy app for parents and teens. Yoav is also a marketing manager at Tipulog, cloud-based software for clinic management.
Amneh joined the Integrative Pain Laboratory in September – 2021 and will take part in the Pain Story Project, the project aims to develop a digital platform for pain detection, based on facial expressions, voice and inferred language content. Her master’s research focuses on predicting pain based on the patient’s recorded narratives.
